Winner Poker Review

One of the newer poker rooms that’s gaining attention throughout the industry is Winner Poker. Established in 2009, this iPoker network site is often overshadowed by the casino action at Winner, which is why most people come here in the first place. Of course, that’s not such a bad thing because many of the casino players try their hand at poker, thus making for some very soft games.

Speaking of the games, most of the cash game scene revolves around Texas Hold’em and Omaha tables. You’ll find full tables in a lot of the lower stakes when it comes to these poker variations. There are also 5-Card Stud and 7-Card Stud games at Winner Poker, but you have to be online at just the right time to catch any meaningful action. Overall, the traffic is pretty solid at this room with a lot of players from Canada, the UK, and various parts of Europe filling out the tables. But you won’t find any Americans here because, like all iPoker sites, Winner Poker doesn’t accept US players.

Despite this handicap, Winner benefits greatly from their affiliation with the iPoker network in the tournament traffic department. That’s because their players have access to all of the major tournament events such as the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP), the Saturday $60,000 Guaranteed and the Sunday $200,000 Guaranteed.

As for software, Winner Poker is definitely one of the top iPoker sites in this regard because both their functionality and graphics are excellent. Courtesy of software giant Playtech, this room employs a sleek, black design that’s very easy on the eyes when grinding in tournaments and cash games. The software features begin showing their use right away with all of the lobby filters you have for finding games. The graphical hand history is certainly nice too along with customizable deck and table options. Also, multi-tablers will appreciate the fact that they can open up to 16 tables at once.
