Inside the Silicon Valley Poker Game that Phil Hellmuth merely breaks even in

With 13 WSOP gold bracelets and over $18 million in live tournament winnings, there aren't a lot of poker games that Phil Hellmuth struggles in. So it's pretty odd that he would battle just to break even in a game full of Silicon Valley billionaires. But these aren't just any billionaires sitting around the table for a casual game of poker.

Kathy Liebert offers 1% of WSOP Winnings for Twitter Answer

What are the most important traits of a top-notch poker player? This is the question that most of us are still trying to figure out. And Kathy "PokerKat" Liebert recently tried to lend a helping hand by tweeting the following:

What do you think are the two most important qualities to be a world class poker player?

I'm going to favorite 15 tweets and choose one of those 15 to give a 1% freeroll to WSOP main event

Rounders 2 still on the Table?

When we last left Mike McDermott (Matt Damon) in the hit movie "Rounders," he had just paid off his buddy Worm's debt and was heading to Las Vegas for the WSOP. And for the past 17 years, we've yet to find out what became of McDermott's WSOP trip. But could Hollywood finally get around to reprising the 1998 cult classic?

"There is a possibility of it," according to Edward Norton, who played Worm in the first Rounders. Norton appeared on a recent episode of The Late Show with David Letterman in order to promote his film "Birdman."

Daniel Negreanu offers take on Vicky Coren leaving PokerStars

Not long ago, Vicky Coren made big news by leaving PokerStars under the banner that she can't endorse casino games. Stars has plans for a mass launch of online casino games within the next few weeks, following success in their market. And Coren doesn't like this, given that she only planned to endorse online poker and not casino gaming.

Well the face of PokerStars, Daniel Negreanu, recently gave his two cents on Coren's decision. And Negreanu spoke glowingly of her while writing in his bog at

Will Michael Mizrachi's Bitcoin Poker Site succeed?

Having won two $50k Players Championships, three total WSOP gold bracelets and over $14.5 million in live tournaments, Michael 'The Grinder' Mizrachi has done it all in poker. And now he's moving on to a new pursuit by opening a Bitcoin-only poker site called

Mizrachi hopes to differentiate himself from the current iPoker market by offering plenty of games and featuring signed pros. Here's a look at what he told about the matter:

2015 WSOP Europe will be held in Berlin

The World Series of Poker Europe just can't seem to find the perfect city. That said, the prestigious poker event will be moving to Berlin for its 2015 run.

The WSOP Europe was held in London from 2007-10, then Cannes (France) from 2011-12, and finally suburban Paris in 2013. As for why the 2015 WSOP Europe will be moved to Berlin, WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart explained that it has to do with the Germans' love for the game right now.

Martin Jacobson uses Skills, Friends to win 2014 WSOP Main Event

Due to the fact that he only had the eighth-largest chip stack heading into the 2014 November Nine, most dismissed Martin Jacobson as a mere darkhorse contender to win the Main Event. However, the Swede used a combination of incredible poker skills and help from his friends to outlast his final table opponents. "I was very fortunate to have so many talented friends on the rail," Jacobson said. "They all backed me and helped me to prepare for this day."

Dan Colman blasts Phil Hellmuth - "Spineless" and "Cancer to this World"

People have long criticized Phil Hellmuth for his behavior and antics at the poker table. But perhaps nobody has ever went off on the Poker Brat like Dan Colman recently did through a TwoPlusTwo forum thread.

The 2014 WSOP Big One for One Drop champ blasted Hellmuth, dubbing him "spineless" and a "cancer to this world." What seems to be Colman's biggest problem is Hellmuth's self-promoting and important nature. Here's a look at what Colman wrote on the matter:

William Tonking makes Noise at 2014 WSOP Main Event - But eliminated in 4th Place

When it came to coverage of the 2014 WSOP November Nine, perhaps no player got as little coverage as William Tonking. That's because the New Jersey online poker pro doesn't possess a dynamic personality nor does he have the impressive live tournament results of Martin Jacobson. Nevertheless, he made plenty of noise before finally busting out of the tourney in 4th place.

Billy Pappas takes 5th in 2014 WSOP Main Event

Despite having the least actual poker experience out of the 2014 November Nine, William Pappaconstantinou (a.k.a. Billy Pappas) got more press than any other player on the 2014 WSOP Main Event final table. That's of course because Pappas is a 14-time foosball world champion who recently crossed over into poker. However, it should be mentioned that Pappas was the least-experienced out of the 9 final-table players.
